The Japanese Studies Association of Thailand (JSAT), in collaboration with the School of Social Innovation, Mae Fah Luang University, and the Japan Foundation, convenes the 20th JSAT National Conference and the 1st JSAT International Conference as a platform for critical academic exchange on Japan’s role in shaping global sustainability trajectories.
The conference addresses contemporary transformations in sustainability governance, regional cooperation, and socio-economic development, with a focus on Japan’s engagement in Asia and beyond. It brings together interdisciplinary scholarship across social sciences, humanities, and applied fields to examine how partnerships, policy frameworks, and cultural dynamics contribute to a shared sustainable future.
By integrating national and international tracks, the conference expands its scope to foster cross-border dialogue, comparative research, and collaborative knowledge production.
The conference will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing participation both onsite and online.
